The Monroe County Road Commission (MCRC) is currently accepting applications for the Paint-A-Plow Program for 2023. The Paint-A-Plow Program is a community outreach program designed to provide youth with a positive way to express themselves, while promoting road safety and awareness. The Paint-A-Plow program allows students to paint a MCRC snowplow with messages of snow and ice safety or school pride. Messages and designs must be tasteful and contain no political messages. Participation in the program is free of charge.
The MCRC Paint-A-Plow program open all Monroe County schools and youth community programs to paint a MCRC snow plow with original artwork, to represent their school or organization. All entrants in the Paint-A-Plow program will be posted on the MCRC Facebook page for community voting. The winner will be used on the MCRC truck in the Christmas in Ida Parade. All plows will be used during the winter months within the school’s township. The plows may also be used at events throughout the year to enhance public awareness, promote safety and foster an appreciation of the school’s art program.
